A man around 40 alarmed Greek Police earlier today, while standing outside the Presidential House in Athens downtown, threatening to blow up the explosives that he claimed to have on him. A special Police negotiator managed to convince him to surrender to the authorities, terminating hence the alarm. Earlier he is reported to attempt giving an envelope to the President of the Greek Republic Mr. Karolos Papoulias.

Upon his arrest the man was asked if he faced any financial problems and he replied “The country, not me!”
