Michael Dukakis, the Democrats nominee for the 1988 US Presidential election, who is of Greek origin, asked about Mitt Romney and his constant references to Greece said : ”

Romney is very weak on foreign policy and nobody knows what he will do for the Greek affairs or for any other important international issue. What we do know is that “he is attacking” Greece, implying that unless we (the US) begin to balance our budget, we will be led in the way of Greece. In fact, the types of economic policies that he favors is exactly the same as the EU policies that have paralyzed Greece. ”

  1. “Romney is very weak on foreign policy and nobody knows what he will do for the Greek affairs or for any other important international issue.”

Oh please.. As if Greek affairs were really “internationally important” enough to pre-occupy the issues of the United States’ issues in maintaining stability in the world. Obama has done NOTHING to generate any more certainty or stability in the world, outside of the minds of leftists who imagine his identity somehome beign a universal healing balm.

His international policy has been a failure. The Iranians are closer to being able to nuke Europe’s largest source of energy, the KSA and Gulf States, Russians are hostile to the US because they find it weak-kneed and unpredictable, China is convinced that it can war up for terrotirial aggression without the US doing anything more than issue a Press Release, and we are abandining our friends on the African continent, and in Eastern Europe.

How is “not knowing what Romney will do” (because you are unwilling to read up on it,) any worse than THAT?

    How?

Outside of that, in which county and which state of the US do you vote, that it gives you the confidence to speak to the issues of the American people with an air of authority?

    • greekhermes.wordpresscom just posted the statement of Michael Dukakis ex Democratic nominee. There is no comment from the author, endorsing either Romney or Obama. On what concerns Greece though, I am afraid that it is you that you speak derogatory; this period the Greek and hence the European economy are facing difficulties with the debt crisis. In the context of globalisation this could affect the global economy. We were not writing about who is stronger so I strongly advise you to read our articles more carefully.
