Mitt Romney’s regrettable choice to call the American Economy under Obama Administration “a road to Greece” (1) was among the factors that brought the current President ahead in the opinion polls.

The Republicans’ candidate views on economy or unemployment issues seem to resemble these of the European conservatives leaders like Angela Merkel of Germany, while sometimes are even more propelled; when Romney was called to comment the recent fall of unemployment rates in the United States said : “the rates are falling just because fewer people are searching for job.”

Barack Obama is clearly concerned about the policy that his European conservatives counterparts adopting on the issue of the debt crisis and this is somehow transferred in the IMF-EU dispute on the “bailout” packages who lack of any significant measure to fight recession. In order to demonstrate his opposition in such tactics and to show Romney’s resemblance with them, Barack Obama accused his opponent for “forgetting” his propelled views saying that he suffers from “Romnesia” slightly changing the Greek-root word “amnesia”.
